Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Jabalpur Region came in to existence in the month of July 1993. It started functioning in a portion of the building of Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1 GCF Jabalpur. Shortly the office will shift to its newly constructed building in the campus of KV No 1 GCF Jabalpur.

At present 56 Kendriya Vidyalayas, with 3 functioning in two shifts, are under the control of this Region. These Kendriya Vidyalayas are located in MP and Chattisgarh. 31 KVs are under Civil Sector, 15 under Project Sector and 10 KVs under Defence Sector.
